Can I replace my existing lighting system with your PowerBrites?

PowerBrites are designed to enhance existing lighting systems such as fluorescent and compact fluorescent systems, as well as act as a stand-alone light in small aquariums, refugiums, and also work as powerful nocturnal moon lights.  It is recommended to use one PowerBrite for every 20” of aquarium length.

Can I use my universal transformer with the PowerBrites?

No.  Only the PowerBrite transfomer can be used with the PowerBrite modules.

Can I use the PowerBrites to sustain my corals and anemones?

The PowerBrites are not designed to sustain light requiring animals, although they may enhance the growth and look of the corals and anemones in the aquarium when added to a system with an existing lighting system.

How is the PowerBrite installed over an aquarium?

The PowerBrite comes with mounting clips that can be easily attched to the ceiling of a canopy, or you can set the PowerBrite directly over a covered aquarium using the rubber feet.

How many links can I add to my PowerBrite Lighting Module?

You can add two of the PowerBrite linking modules (in any color combination) to a main lighting module, giving you 12 LED lamps driven by a single transformer.

What are some of the benefits of the PowerBrite LED lighting?

The PowerBrite adds a shimmering effect to aquariums that adds another dynamic to the ighting as well as a more naturalf feel.  The LED lighting can also be used for dawn/dusk effects and lunar light replication, which has been shown to stimulate spawning in both fish and coral.

What color combinations are available in the PowerBrite LED lighting Systems and Linking Modules?

Both the PowerBrite LED Lighting Systems and linking modules are available in 10,000k White, 460nm Actinic, or a combination of 10,000k and 460nm Actinic.

When I plug in my links to the PowerBrite none or only some of the PowerBrites are coming on-what is the problem?

Make sure that the power switch for all the attached modules is in the "on" position and when connecting the power cords and links make sure to attach the series so that power comes into each module at the end nearest the power switch.
