How do you fill the hopper in the AquaChef?
Gently pull the hopper (rotating part of the feeder) away from the base-there may be some resistance. Once the hopper is off lay it down on the counter and fill with food through the hole in the back of the hopper (covered with round rubber disc). Once filled, place the hopper back onto the body of the feeder and adjust the amount of food desired to be dispensed.

How should the feed hopper be cleaned?
The feed hopper may be removed and rinsed with freshwater. Do not use any detergents when cleaning the hopper. Allow the hopper to air dry thoroughly before refilling with food and placing back in operation.

My aquarium has thick "Euro Style" bracing that won't allow the AquaChef to slide over the rim with the suction cup in place.
With a wide aquarium brace or rim, remove the suction cup from the screw on the mounting bracket of the AquaChef. Slide the mounting bracket over the tank brace until it has cleared and re-install the suction cup onto the screw. Tighten the suction cup down against the wall of the aquarium.

The AquaChef is not feeding at the time it was programmed, is it malfunctioning?
A crucial step in programming may have been skipped. Once you have programmed the feeder to dispense the food at a certain time, it is necessary to program the AquaChef for the amount of revolutions the hopper should turn (1 or 2) at that given feed interval (see Aqua Chef Instruction Manual in Support Section)

The Feed Hopper is not rotating-what am I doing wrong?
Your feeder may be dirty, the batteries may need to be replaced or there is a problem with the unit. If the hopper is within the 1 year warranty please contact your retailer for a replacement if cleaning and new batteries do not solve the problem.
